Cranford Hockey Club is the oldest hockey club in New Jersey and is the leader in providing top-quality hockey development focused on the kids. Cranford Hockey Club has provided co-ed hockey teams since its inception in 1956. With the growth of girls' hockey and to support the development of our current female club members, Cranford Hockey Club is committed to building a path for girls' hockey teams. We plan to field a girls bantam hockey team in the 2025-2026 season. The intent is for the team to play in the Mid-Atlantic Women’s Hockey Association (MAWHA) at the A or AA level and is exploring other league/tournament options.

The transition to Bantam is a logical initial development point for the club to focus on girls' teams. The team will be open to 2011-2013 birth years, with the added benefit that 2013's are eligible to roster on co-ed teams in addition to the girl's roster. The club remains committed to co-ed teams for members who are interested in the benefits of co-ed play, especially at the younger age levels, continuing to play all-girls games at the younger levels to build cohesion. We will now add dedicated girls teams at older age levels as the interest grows.

The club will support this girls' program with coaches who have experience playing at the collegiate level and are USA Hockey Level 4 certified.
