Unsure exactly what to expect with playing hockey during a pandemic, Cranford Squirt Blue packed up their cars destined for Bethlehem PA for the 2020 Columbus Day Steel City Shootout..  Squirt Blue posted a record over the weekend of 3-1, defeating the NJ Freeze by a score of 8-0 in the Championship Game to earn the trophy and avenge a narrow 4-3 loss to the Freeze from the prior day.   The boys really played a complete team game in the Finals: crisp passing, back-checking, a shut-down defensive effort that sucked the life out of the opponent, solid goal-tending, good communication & body language, and registered 41 punishing shots on goal.  Hats off to our coaches for having the boys ready to play - it was evident from the first puck drop that Cranford was meant to be on top for this day.  Congrats to Squirt Blue!!!
