On the evening of September 26th, the Cranford Mites were given the opportunity to put their hockey skills to the test at the Prudential Center.  During the first intermission of the Devils / Rangers game, Cranford mites got to play an exciting three minutes of hockey.

The Cranford hockey club has been participating in the “Mites on Ice” for 10 plus years with very favorable feedback.  Mites on ice gives an experience to the kids of coming out of the tunnel and playing in front of the cheering fans. The take away from year to year is very consistent.  The kids have a fantastic time, and the parents are more excited than the children!

Player -  Lou Sdao comments:

"At first I was nervous, but after a few seconds of being on the ice, it was so much fun! I liked being interviewed,  it made me feel like a real hockey player! "

Coach Rick:

“It was a great night for the kids – they had a lot of fun, and seeing the smiles on their faces as they stepped onto the ice in front of thousands of people was priceless!"

Coach Lawrence:

“I thought that Mites on Ice was a fantastic opportunity for the players and their families. It gives the players an opportunity to skate on the same ice as there hockey idols and their families are able to see them. While watching in the stands with the parents, you are able to see the joy on all of their faces as they see their son or daughter take the ice.”

All the player and Coaches would like to thank all the fans who came and supported the Cranford team.
